Who Benefits?
Cui bono is a Latin phrase used in identifying crime suspects.
It means “who benefits.”
If one is trying to find out who committed a crime, it is often helpful to look at who benefited from it.
This can also be applied to the broad field of technology.
But rather than finding out who benefits from the abuse of technology, some have chosen to withdraw from it.
Many decades ago, the Amish communities in the U.S. decided to avoid certain modern technologies.
While the U.S. population increase has continued to decline, the Amish population has approximately doubled every 20 years.
In fact, at the current rate, the Amish would outnumber the entire U.S. population in 215 years.
American entrepreneur, Steve Kirsch, testified before the Pennsylvania State Senate, “You won’t find kids with [so-called] attention deficit disorder, with autoimmune disease, with epilepsy. You just don’t find any of these chronic diseases in the Amish.”
Does this mean we should all become farmers and get rid of our cars and electricity?
No, but when machines and significances are substituted for live beings, degradation can result.
And the current degradation is not accidental.
Brain implants and other intrusive technologies that could interfere with mental and physical functioning raise valid ethical questions and could blur the boundaries between man and machine.
An early warning of the possible dangers inherent in a supercomputer with artificial intelligence (HAL 9000) appeared in Arthur C. Clarke’s 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Who benefits from the agenda to control all through technology?
It is those who profit at the expense of others and the planet, and those motivated by a blind need to control.
An obvious solution would be a technology under the guidance of humans designed to safeguard individual freedom.
That technology is ExoTech.
ExoTech puts the user in control and reverses the trend towards subjugation through technology.
It is the answer to those who would use it to degrade and dominate.
ExoTech will help to change the world in many ways.
