I believe everyone wants to create big, magical effects.
If they can’t create wonderful effects, they may begin to create destructive effects.
Considering current world conditions, we could obviously benefit from an infusion of pro-survival magical effects.
But that doesn’t necessarily require supernatural means.
Technology itself can create magical effects.
Today’s smartphones would seem like magic to a caveman.
According to Arthur C. Clarke, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
