Everywhere

Posted September 21, 2024, under The ExoFuture Alert

Several years ago there was a successful movie produced about a woman who had rapidly increasing super powers.

She became able to move objects without physical means, travel in time, and other amazing feats.

At the height of her powers, she disappeared.

The question was asked: “Where is she?”

An answer came on a card: “I am everywhere.”

If a person could be everywhere, he could know everything and would be able to do anything.

This principle applies to “The Internet of Things.”

“The Internet of Things” refers to networks of interconnected physical devices, including vehicles, appliances, phones, thermostats, lighting systems, irrigation systems, security cameras. and many other objects embedded with sensors, software, and network connectivity.

These devices collect and exchange data, and can create massive networks, environments, ecosystems connecting the physical and digital worlds.

Today there are billions of such connected devices.

This brings up the subject of artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is said to be the simulation of human intelligence in machines programmed to think and learn like humans.

The integration of artificial intelligence with the Internet of Things would seem to open up new realms of possibilities, enabling intelligent, autonomous systems, analyzing vast amounts of data, coordinating many actions, making decisions, all with unprecedented power and efficiency.

This would approximate the idea of being everywhere, being able to know everything, and do anything.

BUT, artificial intelligence, as with all today’s computing technology, is intrinsically limited.

AI doesn’t really think and learn like humans, so it is not TRULY intelligent.

Only an ExoTech system can come close to computing the way a human does.

Such a system is composed of components where each one can potentially operate independently of the others.

And all components, applications, and functions are completely compatible.

Conventional systems are nowhere near becoming able tro do this.

ExoTech will create an Internet of Things MANY times more intelligent and efficient than anything based upon today’s antiquated stimulus-response computing technology.
