ChatGPT recently broke records as the fastest-growing consumer app in history.
But what IS ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a chatbot.
To chat is to converse, especially using a computing device.
The word “bot” is a shortened form of “robot.”
So a chatbot is a computer program or software or application or app that AUTOMATICALLY simulates human conversation.
Siri, Alexa, and Cortana are chatbots.
In ChatGPT, GPT stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer.
ChatGPT GENERATES human-like conversations.
It can also generate emails, essays, poems, grocery lists, letters, and much more.
It is PRE-TRAINED (or programmed) to respond ROBOTICALLY in very specific and LIMITED ways.
And it TRANSFORMS the data within its databases into communications understandable by humans.
It can edit, translate and summarize text.
It can also describe itself:
“I am a language model developed by OpenAI. I was trained on a diverse range of internet text, including websites, books, and more. This allows me to generate human-like text responses to a wide range of questions and prompts. My training data encompasses a wide range of topics, so I can converse on many subjects, including but not limited to science, history, mathematics, and current events. However, I am still just a machine, and while I can generate responses that are similar to what a human might say, I do not have thoughts, feelings, or consciousness.”
ChatGPT is said to be an application of “artificial intelligence (AI),” but IS it truly intelligent?
Earlier this year, a lawyer submitted a federal court filing that cited at least six cases that don’t exist. The lawyer used the AI chatbot ChatGPT, which completely invented the cases out of thin air.
The founder of OpenAI (the company that built ChatGPT) has called ChatGPT “incredibly limited” and a “horrible product.”
So ChatGPT is NOT truly intelligent.
It operates on a robotic basis.
It is artificial, but not intelligent.
It has the same fatal flaws as ALL of today’s computing systems.
ExoTech is free from the crippling limitations of ChatGPT and all the other chatbots.
ExoTech goes beyond what these AI chatbots can do. A fully language controllable environment that the user can control, change, and be in charge of their data. All of this without the user being sold out, having their data mined against them.
And ExoTech is not motivated by technocrats who envision humans as machines to be merged with and enslaved by computers.
