Artificial Intelligence

Posted August 30, 2024, under The ExoFuture Alert

The term “Artificial Intelligence” (AI) applies to any technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human intelligence and problem-solving.

AI continues to provide increasing benefits.

According to one report, AI is projected to contribute $13 trillion (approximately 16%) to the global economy by 2030.

But AI has several drawbacks inhibiting its universal large-scale use.

Job Displacement:

AI has raised concerns about job displacement on a scale never seen before.

It is is currently projected that AI could replace 800 million jobs by 2030.

Privacy Invasion:

According to one study, 90% of upper-class workers, 84% of middle-class workers, and 70% of lower-class workers have concerns of being “inappropriately surveilled if AI were used to collect and analyze information.”

Inaccuracy:

The mistakes made by AI are almost starting to become legendary.

A chatbot called “Grok” accused pro basketball player Klay Thompson of vandalism.

Grok generated this accusation from social media posts that Thompson
was “shooting bricks” (Basketball slang for “missing his shots”).

Expensive material and resource costs associated with AI:

Alphabet Inc. is an American multinational technology company, the world’s second-largest technology company by revenue.

It is the parent company of Google and several former Google subsidiaries.

Alphabet chairman John Hennessy stated that an AI chatbot search costs
10 times more than a conventional one.

If it continues to increase its data usage and storage at this current rate, we will soon hit a wall where our silicon supply won’t be able to keep up with the amount of data being generated.

And the electricity costs could become astronomical.

ExoTech has none of these drawbacks.

It has security features beyond other systems.

It is a tool for the average person rather than the technological power elite, so it empowers people rather than attempting to dominate and replace them.

It computes FAR more like a human or live being than any other system, so it is FAR more accurate.

Resource usage is up to one hundred times less than AI.
