Artificial Indifference
Indifference is a state of being unconcerned, uninterested, apathetic or not making a difference.
The word is derived from words meaning “not setting apart.”
An apathetic person has difficulty setting things apart and keeping things apart, especially within his own mind.
One might hear an apathetic person say, “Nothing matters. It’s all the same.”
The apathetic person is indifferent to life because he has lost the ability to differentiate one thing from another, one person from another.
To the degree that one cannot differentiate, the mind and life become harder: less flexible, more solid, more difficult.
The apathetic person is also more stupid.
In the cartoon “Peanuts,” Lucy’s number one insult to Charlie Brown is “You blockhead!”
A block is hard, inflexible, solid and VERY stupid.
So a blockhead is a very stupid person.
Another word used to describe a stupid person is “thickheaded.”
“The plot thickens” is an expression often used when a situation becomes more complicated or mysterious.
The less a person can differentiate, the more “thickheaded” and mysterious he becomes and the more his life becomes complicated.
The word “confuse” is derived from words meaning to mix or pour together.
Similarly, today’s computing and software systems consist of components stuck or fused together.
They operate on a stimulus-response basis rather than computing like a living being does.
But ExoTech systems are composed of components that can operate separately from each other.
It is what artificial “intelligence” is supposed to be but can NEVER be.
ExoTech has solved the fundamental basic confusions underlying the problems with today’s computing AND artificial “intelligence.”
Artificial “intelligence” lends itself to the distorted dreams of technocrats who envision a world where humans are servants of machines, become like machines, and even BECOME machines.
These technocrats and their artificial “intelligence” are both indifferent to life and to the consequences of computations and actions.
The antidote is ExoTech, which goes in the OPPOSITE direction.
