The ExoTech Business Plan. I’m not a techie. I became an ExoTech Team Member back in November 2019 because a friend told me I should meet with Peter and find out about it, which I did. The meeting was shortly after I had finished reading “Red Mars,” a sci-fi novel in which computers could do practically anything. Thus, my mindset was more open to the idea that Peter could indeed have made a breakthrough.
During the months I was doing administrative work for ExoTech, I was too busy to watch the 31 videos and read the Business Plan. I expected the latter to be long and boring; thus I wass pleasantly surprised to find that it was not—well, long, yes, but boring, no.
It covered a lot of ground, from a review of the technical aspects to data about organizing charts and management technology, to marketing strategies, public relations, legal–even some history about its development. VERY comprehensive!
In all, it created a shift in viewpoint from, “IF ExoTech succeeds, then (blah, blah, blah)…” to “WHEN ExoTech succeeds, then (blah, blah, blah)…” Now, as a Public Contact volunteer, my main focus will be on bringing people into the fold – techies, administrators, investors, partners, and users. Just yesterday I ran into a good friend who had recently joined the Team and strongly encouraged him to get through the videos and Business Plan ASAP.
In bed I thought about the father of one of my piano students who I think would be interested in ExoTech, and who might even be potential staff. And then there’s , and _, and _, and all my friends all over the country (I know a lot of people!).
Peter did indeed do a brilliant job of (1) thinking through the challenges, (2) coming up with solutions, and (3) putting it all down on paper in an interesting and compelling way. Thank you, Peter!
