Alfred Garbutt
Doctor of Chiropractic
Alf has achieved a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, along with numerous other certifications and degrees in the fields of Chiropractic Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. He has engaged in approximately 5,000 hours of post-graduate and extra-curricular study in the fields of health care, sports medicine, motor vehicle traumatology, nutrition, biomechanics, kinesiology and exercise.
He currently holds positions as an International Ambassador for Youth for Human Rights, International, a Commissioner and Advisory Board Member for the Citizen’s Commission on Human Rights, a membership in the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) Council on Physiologics and Rehabilitation and is founder of the Doctors’ Coalition Against Electro-Convulsive Therapy.
In 2010, he was awarded the America Chiropractic Association Rehab Council’s Chiropractor of the Year Award. Dr. Garbutt has been a frequent lecturer for many medical association organizations and universities, has appeared on radio and television broadcasts, as well as publishing many articles for professional associations.
For decades, he has provided services as International Sport Medicine Director for the World Organization of Martial Arts Athletes, Team Doctor for the United States International Martial Arts Team and for the World Championship Martial Arts Team, as well as for the U.S. National /Olympic Field Hockey Team.
Alf has personally won 26 World Martial Art Championships between 2005 and 2017 and has been inducted into three International Martial Arts Halls of Fame. He is the holder of four martial arts world records.
